I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks for helping to make our Passion Play gathering last Saturday such a perfect event.Everyone was pleasantly surprised when they saw the beautiful table layout. The attention to detail was totally unexpected and it helped to make our Passion Play lunch that much more special.All the feedback I received from our 50 guests was very positive.The staff were so attentive and so willing to assist in every way and they were so well presented. Our Year 11 Christian Leadership retreat was warmly welcomed and accommodated at Holy Cross. Flexibility in the use of spaces to meet our needs, including the large and small Chapel, and technical facilities to support presentations and small groups. We were incredibly well-fed, and our students enjoyed the meals. We were warm at night (middle of winter) and the whole place had a great community feel.

We were very fortunate to have Holy Cross Centre as our venue for Shalom English Retreat 2019. We believe this is one of the best places in Melbourne to have a retreat with all the serenity and comfort you could experience. You will find everything you will need at this venue if you are looking for a place to spend time with the Lord – inside the beautiful Chapel or calm and peaceful scenic outdoors.
Small is Beautiful is a group made of Religious from smaller congregations who gather yearly at Holy Cross to network, pray and share experiences. As in the past, our 2019 gathering was able to be accommodated through the good work and extraordinary efforts of the whole team at Holy Cross. Their hospitality helped us facilitate the day without stress. The resources (Audio Visual) and gathering spaces always make these days special. Our group always enjoys returning to Holy Cross as they know they won’t be disappointed with the facility.
We hosted our Staff Retreat day at Holy Cross and the venue was ideal. The room we were given was the perfect size, with a beautiful outlook, and had everything we needed. Their hospitality was warm and the lunch tasty! We also appreciated the quiet in the venue. Thanks to all the staff at Holy Cross.
Around 30 of us from the Neocatechumenal community of the parish of St. Bernadette’s in North Sunshine came to stay over the weekend in March. We had a beautiful experience in the Holy Cross centre, particularly upon using the Corbett room which had windows overlooking the well-kept gardens which made the wonders of creation more apparent when doing Morning Prayer. The staff were helpful, non-obtrusive while still being very accommodating. The rooms were simple and comfortable enough and the shared bathrooms were immaculate. The cook is also a 5 star! Will definitely be coming back many more times. It is beautiful to have a weekend away with a Catholic community in a Catholic centre, run by actual Christians!
Our workplace hosted our staff Christmas vent at Holy Cross and it was an exceptional space. Because of the pandemic, staff had been working from home and this was our first in-person gathering for 8 months. The outdoor space was perfect for our informal catch up’s and made adhering to social distancing easy. The food was excellent and communication was second to none – all our needs were catered for. Would definitely recommend Holy Cross and look forward to returning soon.

Michelle & Trevor D'souza2024-04-11We are part of a team that runs an Alpha program at our local church and have held weekend retreats at Holy Cross Centre in Templestowe two years in a row and this will always be our first choice for future retreats. There is a broad range of rooms to choose from, depending on the size of your group and activities you want to have. Audio-visual setup is more than adequate. Overnight accommodation is excellent - we have used this on other occasions outside of Alpha. The outdoor area is amazing - you really feel the peace and closeness to nature. The dining facility is excellent and you use it whether you are self-catering or using the centre's supplied catering. An added bonus was the convenience of attending Mass at the church on Sunday morning - such a lively and welcoming community and the Passionist priests are great in their ministry. The staff are always polite and hospitable. Mayrose in the administration team has been particularly helpful, going above and beyond to meet our needs. Full praise to the team at Holy Cross Centre - thank you for the work you do.
Antony raj2024-03-19I have visited this retreat Centre several times for our community's Lenten retreat. The environment is gorgeous and provides a friendly atmosphere for our spiritual needs. The management was incredibly helpful in ensuring the success of our retreat, and our community members were truly satisfied with the service. They had a wonderful time meeting their spiritual needs during this Lenten season. I highly recommend Holy Cross Centre to everyone.

Peter Kearney2024-03-07I have twice been a guest at Holy Cross Centre, Templestowe while in Melbourne to present musical concert-reflections in various Parishes. I have been grateful for affordable accommodation over several nights in a simple room that provided everything I needed: a comfortable bed, a quiet space, a desk and en-suite facilities. I was out working most evenings but it was good to be able to make use of the Centre's kitchen and dining room for breakfast and cuppas. A walk around the HCC grounds is very pleasant. Starting points for great walks along the Yarra River Trail can be accessed quite quickly by car. Thankyou MayRose, Holy Cross Centre staff and the Passionist Community for making me welcome. Peter.
Manel Fernando2024-01-22We organised a meditation retreat in December 2023 at the HolyCross Centre. We found the staff, particularly Mayrose very friendly and great at providing all the details and the facility was wonderful. The participants had positive feedback about the services, rooms and amenities, gardens and the large spaces for group discussions etc. Overall was a great experience had by all attending from other countries and all over Australia.
