Holy Cross Retreat is a spiritual home to a large community of families who worship at Holy Cross and form an integral part of a spiritual family together with the Passionist community. They attend the regular Sunday Mass in the Chapel and special services when they are held in the grounds, including Christmas Eve.

The Holy Cross Centre is a retreat and conference facility which is open to any groups who wish to use the facilities.

Community

Holy Cross has served as a formation community for Passionist students since 1965. At the present time there are three theological students from Papua New Guinea and one student from China studying English who will progress to a Masters of Theology in 2021.

As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, our novitiate class is operating from Holy Cross instead of Adelaide, until late January. There are five Vietnamese novices led by a Canadian director and a Chinese assistant director.

Two former students are at Holy Cross awaiting travel back to PNG.

Sr Brigid, a Passionist (Cross and Passion) sister has been living with the community since March, awaiting a transfer to Vietnam.

There is a senior community of one brother and three priests. One of the priests is from Tanzania.
