How often do we hear ourselves saying; “I just don’t seem to have a minute for myself” and “if only I could have a few moments quiet”!! Jesus’ call seems even more urgent today. While the “come away days” were initially started as an outreach for the sick and their carers, more and more people are seeking a space that offers peace and calm amid the storm, an opportunity to get off the treadmill, and a time to be with God.
Those who have responded to this offer at the Holy Cross Centre have commented: “I was a bit tentative, but I am glad I came, I will come back again”. “I didn’t know what to expect, it was just lovely”. “I can’t believe how good I feel at the end of the day”. “There is something special here”. “ It’s very inclusive, anyone can feel at home, it is a welcoming place”.
This retreat is for those –
- seeking peace in their hearts
- needing quiet time to reflect on their life
- those caring for others
A time for both sharing and quiet time in the beautiful garden setting of Holy Cross; guided meditation, silence, Mass and Anointing, opportunity for individual guidance.
